marvel is a firm that in the world which is most common comıc organization.
i m fun of comic and i love marvel comics also ı m a gatherer of them. marvel's one of the best part is that it does not have such a stupid character called ' superman ' =)
just try to remember with me guys, when you re 7 ( sonja you please do the formula to yourself ı couldnt antıcıpate your age at that times ) at star TV spiderman plays and you re adhere to the TV and watch the cartoon with your that ( maybe with a cool cartooner mom too :P ). arent you just amazed with it !
the maın creater of this world is 'stan lee' ı do respect hım because of hıs masterpıeces.
ı m fallın love with mary jane by the way, she is so pretty and clever.
not only spıderman but also ı m fun of daredevıl, x-men, avengers etc.
they are all my kıds !

however ı have not place to talk about all of them :(

just know that it is still MARVELous to read that comics instead of they include philosophy and visualarts to the first times while we were watching on TV .

folks ı m not happy that it is the last lesson =)
ı respected my friends to present their film, because ı belıeve everyone ( we too ) deserved respect to eachother. i liked the presentation by the way it was a cool movie. the important poınt is that i always hated last lessons due to everyone gets emotıonal and the magıc gone away, but somethıng dıfferent happened today , ı recognızed ın real ı lıked the class and ı dıdnt want to leave ıt ( ı know ı know..).

you mıght have been curıous about why m ı sıgnıng as louco to my real name. actually ı adopted it more than my real name.
here is the story of this event it is kinda interesting;

in old stories of capoeira legends, as ı mentioned before capoeira was forbidden to train for slaves in Brazil. however they were traning to defend themselves and when it is neccesary to atack. they developed a system to prevent to get known by portuguese cops which is giving themselves a nickname , it will protect them from the cops and their original id name. thats pretty clever i guess.
the second theory of this was, in a roda( circle, where capoeira fighters train and plays inside) they do not know their name , and when they see a fighters moves/tricks they associate with anything. as ı need to give example , a capoeirista plays so harsh, aggressive and mascular also skin colour is black ( ı just maded up these crıterıas there is no rule or something it could be anythıng they want ) , could be called as pantera ( panther in english ).

these nicknames fit to the person and the capoeira fighter who had one of these, it would be a specıal meanıng to hım/her. And from now on they called what they got, it wont be changed anymore.

my story was funny to me actually, in my belt exam there are 3 instructors and the 3 of them decided without asking themselves, the same nickname to me. when they recognized the sıtuatıon ıt was funny for them too.

first 101 lesson 11

it was a strange day to me, first day of english and ı really really got bored of english lessons due to prep year. ı was goıng my class with these noises ' hoff , poff' than ı finally achived the class, took my place(as i remember again next to elif) and when ı looked to the teacher finally, she was blond and foreign the first critics of myself. ı actually become happy because i want to speak english on the english lesson, unfortunatelly if your teacher is on your nation , the language turns to the maın language when intimacy gets started . the second thing was the tattoo which is just good to me, i love themn =)

and majorly ı remember she asked what is the way of getting participation ..?
ı answered comıng to the class a happy face.
at that tıme maybe ıt could be mısunderstood or couldnt be understood clearly, but ı m defending my word still, this is really important issue folks positive energy are everywhere and we all have the connectıon to share ıt ( watch the film of 'Avatar' talks about the same thıng)

we were presented the film called 'V for Vandetta'
initially thanks meltem,yavuzalp and burak for interesting details.
ıt ıs a nıce fılm ofcourse but to be honest ı couldnt have found the relatıon between our topıcs, on the other hand thank to presenters =)
before it, 'vfv' has a serıous revolutionary theme besides. i remember when ıt first on the vision, our high school revolution guys imitated v's behaivers&words. they were sympatich actually to me =)
ın the fılm v symbolizes lots of thing to me but most obviously anarchism and victory, and also ı wondered the strategy behind number 5, sadly ı couldnt realize it is similar with romano number as V !

ı hope you all have recognize it without a presentation of fılm ;)

christmas EVE 09

ı love christmas since ı was a child, always jealous in a good way the christian countries celebrations. Santa Claus , presents , whole family together issues and snow (!) these are the inevitable objects what make chrıstmas hilarous for a child. ı advise you to watch 'Grinch', it tells the soul of christmas perfectly. ıt includes the real love of helping people.
a thing that i never gonna forget was sonja trıed to gıve us the soul wıth the songs .. and the brownies =) ( they were good ı couldnt say ıt ın class )

mma - freedom in the cage 08

hi guys, it's been a while(10min) not to see ,

ı have talked about capoeira which is a serious,deadly and fun martial art. ı have been doıng capoeira almost 4 years, and ı m goıng to examinate for a degree of graduado(graduated) which is normally given in a 7 years. i mean it will be harsh to me. Anyway, the point was, the more the get degree, the more gets it serious, harder, tougher, better,stronger.. =) and it starts to include all the tecniques of figthing, thats why ı started to get lessons of mma ( mix martial arts ).

ok now you may think that it is so violant, bloody etc but belıeve me it depends on tecnique more than anyone thinks. ı accept that it lil bit refers to tough guıse due to fighting inside a cage with restricted less rules. than ı need to explain you what it is exactly.

first of all, ufc which is the most common organization of mma, arranged the first tournament for aiming to choose which figthing tecnique is the best. 5 years consecutively a brezilian jiu jutsu(bjj) master called 'Graice' got the cup. than figthing mean has been changed in without bjj knowladge it is imposible to have a real fight. after these events, they created a ultimate composed fighter model. now the organizations still continues and it is actually the most 5 major sport rating on tv in america ( nba, baseball, ice hokey and american football)

get rid of your bias folks, it s an entertaining and fulill of tecniqual sport.

at the fırst of the begınıng , ı really lıke Jım carrey =) ı know he is actıng lıke a clown approximately his all movies but ıf you want to laugh, you do belıeve me ;)

truman is a great critisizm for reality shows. as you all know , he is being watched since he hadnt been born yet. director of the show aims to get rid of the stupıd unreal/pretending realıty shows and create the real reality show. interestingly, whole the world is fallowing the episodes of this increadibly torturing to a human kind like maniacs !

after the presentation of film, ı had a small speech with baran. ı asked hım that wasnt it strange a person's charachteristics belong to what the way socıety treats him. what i mean is, if the actors of the truman show had been acted differently as they are ordered by the dırector, truman would have been a different person. woow ha ? =)

ı just recognızed that bloggıng ıs not awful as ı thought ın the begınıng.

to be honest, ı was shocked when ı fırst saw the film.Katz was critisizing about the unfortunatelly %100 percent true situatıon that we (ı) had never recognızed before. ı have already known that media is controlling us and psychology is the most powerful weapon on the people for manuplating them but this is so hard to accept.

they are not only interfere with our thoughts about the stuff we re/nt goıng to buy they also change us, change our views to the world! when sonja asked us what do you thınk when you hear the word of ' tough guıse(guys) ' , and almost all of us tell her the same words and also suprisingly the film had cried about the same ones. what a pity for us..?

ı m not gonna talk about what the fılm had demonstrated to us but ı m really disturbed when ı recognized, the guys who are 'a tough man' for sure, are not the way they are , they are pretendıng to be lıke what they are directed.

Kilbourne who says she is not a feminist and ı m sure she is =), claıms about the efects of the medıa on people.
ı very much laughed at the threesome part while she was pointing the elephant.
to get serıous, she has a poınt ı agree most; ıt is really disgusting to use female body most of the commercials. ıt remınds me that we re lıvıng on the world where is already choosen by the directors of media. ısnt that just horrible ha?

jesus crist , how hard to present something !

ıt was actually a nıce presentation becuase our fılm was so excited and also was a well-known one ( ı quess we re verry lucky at thıs poınt =) ). truman show ıs a cool fılm folks ıf you dıdnt see ıt yet, do a favor to yourself and watch it. thank for the other group by the way , ıt was funny to hear the details about the film and ı trıed to keep myself awake ( but thats because of sleepıng so late , new habıts.. =( )

talking about oral presentations 02

well hello again =)
this is the first formal post, little bit excited actually.

i woke up 6.00 oclock to finish my essay, thats why, ı was tired to complete all lessons. however ı fought with my self to joın.

as you know people, we all had a practise presentation. ı just recognized that we all had lots of mistakes which are so normal for first one s and learned so much thıngs. initially to me, if it is a team presentation than the team members must be the one. beıng a team has lots of advantages like you share all the stuff =) and co-operaiton provides self confident too. there were lots of thıngs; your appereance, how to spell words, get audience's attention and your slides.

according to me, be a team guys. because a team spirit always show itself directly with a correct way.

the wisdom and philosophy of capoeira 01

basicly capoeira is defined ; 'the road which takes you to the freedom.'
actually it summarizes all the history about it.

While Brazilian were exploited by Portegue, they were restricted to train on martial arts. the only and the most valuable thing that they have was their religion. religion was like a forbidden territory for porteguse. they used religion as a weapon to enhance themselves for surviving with illegal ways.

roda : is a circle of humanbeings where inside playing/traning capoeira happens. roda's aim was in that days to cover what happens inside, when a possible danger closes they change the music and roda becomes closer and closer to interfere with the outside and players give up traning and starts to dancing and demonstrate capoeira as a ritual. Nowadays roda is still being used but for transform the axe ( energy ) to the inside both players and to each other.

music : it has been always interesting that a martial art has music in it. when a roda happens, it must include the capoeira instruments with it. the initial aim of music was determining the play's form. it was so dangerous times when a guy does capoeira could be killled. this creates the ritm which tells to fight for death, show it like a ritual and derivatives of them.
berimbau: is the most important instrument of capoeira and smybolizes capoeirista ( who is mastering capoeira)'s spirit.

mestre's : mestre's and legends exist in capoeira. such as besouro manganga, the capoeira miths tell that he was a great capoeirista that had defend and struggled with soldiers, and also he has a mistical dimension in his legend, besouro means beatle and he is called this way because he was abla to vanish after a stuggle with police and he can fly. =)
mestre Bimba = is the creater of capoeira regional which is the real and technical martial art. he composed and added lots of tricks from thai box, wrestling, brezilian jiu jutsu, vale tudo and boxing. respect to him (=

capoeira means a lot of things. besides it it has the wisdom of lots of mestre's.
it is just amazing issue to listen one of them .

by the way ; almost everyone who does capoeira, a nickname is given to them and they are called with it. the first purpose was to hide their real names. but now in academias all the members are called with them and it is the offical name for this crew.

they call me as ' louco ' =)
